We bought a house in 2017, knew we needed to do some renos as it was an old house. Unfortunately there were way more repairs needed that weren’t on the inspection report. Thankfully we met Mark and his team! They saved our lives! From electrical, to plumbing, to insulation, to roof repair, they fixed it all before a disaster happened. They ripped up carpets and refinished the red oak floors, replaced the popcorn ceiling and installed pot lights. Our bannister was replaced and tile added to the foyer floor. They replaced carpeting in the solarium and added wood siding. Our kitchen was gutted and finished beautifully. Our basement was gutted to the dirt floor and finished with a brand new and functional layout. Mark’s designs are fantastic. All of this work was done on time and at a great cost! It was sad when they were done because the team became family. We will need more work in the future for sure and I won’t go anywhere else.
The original 1923 built kitchen was totally gutted and replaced with custom cabinetry. The bathroom was also gutted, replaced with a new vanity and mirror. The bathtub was removed and replaced with a walk-in showerstall. The carpets in the down and upstairs hallways and on the stairs to the second floor were removed, and the original oak floors refinished. Likewise, the carpets were removed in 3 upstairs bedrooms and were replaced. Mark’s team made the whole process easy by listening to my ideas, finding exactly what I wanted, and making it looking even better then expected. It was a pleasure to have them around and to observe how intent they were to do everything the right way. The results are astounding, finished on time and on budget.
.This was a second time working with Mark and his team. Mark lowered our basement by 2 feet and underpinned. It was an awkward dig, with very little room between the neighbour’s house. But Mark was able to make the space work and do the dig in a remarkably short time – all to code and supervised by city inspectors and engineers. All plumbing and ductwork was redone, as well as new furnace, air conditioning, water heater installed, and 3-piece bathroom thus giving us a beautiful, up-to-date basement. I highly recommend Mark’s General Renovations.
